A perfectly natural home for honey bees!featured
Posted in Honey Bee Colonies
Got a call from a neighbor in Allentown. The bees have been inhabiting this utility pole cavity for a number of seasons, by the looks of it. When you think of it, a utility pole “is” a tree with its limbs removed-a perfectly natural home for a honey bee colony! Aside from physically removing the entire pole and then carving it up to uncover the colony, it is not an easy extraction to get them out. See the decision-making process post in another part of my website.
