Just finished reading Stan’s book. He’s been involved in beekeeping in Western Australia for over 68 years-a living legend! Lots of good reading here, as it reads like a novel and not necessarily a how-to book.

Honey bees are shown at the entrance to the hive on the landing board “fanning” (beating their wings), literally serving as “fans” to control the internal temperature of the hive. They are truly climate control specialists.
